The
Straus Home was an extensive two year restoration of a summer home. The
house was restored to it's original condition to maintain the open frame.
It included new electrical, plumbing and heating systems. Minor changes
were made to the interior layout including the decommissioning of an upstairs
bedroom, a complete replacement of the kitchen with an added laundry room,
and an extended deck to become a screened-in porch. The exterior trim
on the house was re-designed and the Garage was rebuilt based on the construction
method and design of the main house.
