Pictured
before and after is the former Pulling House built in the early 1900's
and situated on the shore of Vineyard Sound. Neglected for many years,
the house required a complete structural rehab from the foundation up. Great care was taken to preserve the original style of the house while diminishing the effect of several unfortunate additions which had been done over the years. Exposed to the Sound, with an uninterrupted view from Nobska Light at the entrance to Woods Hole Channel to Cuttyhunk, the Western most of the Elizabeth Islands, the house provides a constantly changing seascape of boats and sunsets. A new late afternoon photo shows the house soon after its completion. Almost every room in the house looks out on the water. Numerous decks and porches afford one of many varied combinations of wind, sun and, outlook. |
