We frequently build simple models of our designs, to show the massing, shape and size of a house. This affords a better three dimensional understanding of the structure, what it looks and feels like, which two dimensional drawings cannot always convey. A model is a useful visualization tool for many of our clients.

The Wilson House is the year round residence of Allan and Sunny Wilson and was designed to reflect the character of an old Vineyard farmhouse with various ells and additions. The main section of the house has trim characteristic of the Greek Revival period and contains the Master suite and powder room on the first floor and 2 bedrooms and a bath on the second floor. The wing, to the left in the photo, is a cathedral great room which serves as a living room and dining area. The fireplace is shared by both and a screened porch may be accessed through a pair of french doors.

The kitchen breakfast room is surrounded by windows and is located on the rear of the house. Located in Green Pastures, the owners have access to Cape Pogue Pond just a short walk down their road. This part of Chappaquiddick is very quiet even during the busiest part of the summer season. The exter- ior of the house is virtually maintenance free with Pella clad windows, cedar trim and white cedar shingles.
